We all have emotions. Jesus had them. I keep thinking about one story in the Bible that talks about strong emotions of jealousy. It takes place in 1 Samuel 18:5-30. It is the relationship between Saul and David. David became popular with the people. Saul is King and this produces jealousy in Saul. David’s heart is to serve the Lord. Saul’s strong emotions of jealousy produces a negative turn in his life while David’s strong emotions of love for the Lord produces a positive turn in his life. Saul’s emotions turns from jealousy to murder whereas David’s emotions turns from love to obedience. Keep your emotions in check, follow the Lord, and walk in love and unity no matter what the circumstances. Saul’s life led to destruction but David’s life led to a fulfilled life.
